George Hotz is back in the jailbreaking business, great news for any 3gs owners out there running stock 3.1 firmware.



On his blog he simply stated;

"Prepare to meet the program that will jailbreak them all"

Since the official 3.1 firmware update there has been a lack of jailbreak solutions, especially for us windows users.

The dev team have released pwnage tool for mac users only, though there is custom firmware out there to download for windows, I tried this myself and beleive me it can cause problems with numerous errors being reported by myself and throughout the jailbreak community.

There are rumours that the dev team are working on a redsnow like jailbreak but as of yet there is no estimated release date.

The chronic dev team are also working on a greenpoison jailbreak which should also be easier to use than pwnage tool if your on 3.1, but again no estimated release date.


It was thought that Geohot was working alongside the chronic devs on this but again on his blog he stated;

"There is no affiliation to greenpoison, and its in some ways the complete opposite of purplera1n, but still 10 seconds and may work for every version of software "ever", based on the prettiness of the exploit".


Sound too good to be true? Well we should soon be finding out as it has been rumoured we will have the jailbreak within 2 days!!!!
