How To Install PSX Emulator And Roms

This will allow you to play Playstation 1 games on your iPhone / iPod Touch, though personally I think this only really works on the iPhone 3GS, on other devices the lag and sound is terrible, I know I've tried it on them all. Feel free though to try for yourself. The best games to try are things like Final Fantasy etc.

NOTES ;

a) Device must be jailbroken

b) Device must have SSH installed

c) PC must have winscp and winraar installed

Installation Instructions

1. Open Cydia and select ;

Search / Type in and install ; psx4iphone

2. Exit Cydia

3. The app will now be on your springboard but will need the bin file and game roms added via ssh

4. On your pc go to ;

5. Download and extract the bin file to your desktop ;

scph1001.bin

6. On pc go to ;

7. Browse for Playstation 1 game roms, these come in multiple parts. All parts will need to be downloaded in order, to a folder on your desktop, this can take a while.

8. When fully downloaded, open the folder on your desktop that contains the game roms ;

Right click the first zip file / Extract here /

( This will extract all parts and create one new rom file )

9. Enable ssh on your device

10. Open winscp and login to your device

11. Now select ;

Back / Mobile / Media / Roms / PSX

12. Drag and drop the bin file into this folder / copy

13. Drag and drop the new game rom file into this folder / copy

14. Exit winscp and disable ssh

15. Open app and select new game, this should play if you have done everything correctly
