New Free Cydia Tethering Package Available

I posted a blog a few days ago explaining a little about what tethering is and how to set it up, (Unofficially), well a developer called Andre Sendowski, has just released a free tethering package via Cydia. This is still in beta format so install and use at your own risk, there could be bugs.

Its a very easy set up but again I also have to stress, carriers can be very aggressive towards tethering and as a result you could end up with a huge bill, so use wisely and carefully.

NOTES ;

a) Your iphone must be jailbroken

b) Your iphone must be running the latest 3.1.2 firmware

c) This is only for iphone 3G & 3GS

Installation Instructions

1. Open Cydia and select ;

Manage / Sources / Edit / Add / Type in and install ;

apt.iphone-storage.de

2. Now select ;

Search / Type in and install ;

tethering 3G-3.1.2

OR

tethering 3GS-3.1.2

3. Reboot your iphone

4. Now open up mobile safari and go to ;

www.unlockit.co.nz

5. Follow instructions and set up tethering for your iphone

6. Done

Please use carefully, and remember, there can also be problems with betas which could result in a restore being needed for your device, WATCH YOUR BILL !!!!!
