How To Install WinSCP & SSH Client

This works for 3.x.x firmware on your device, and windows operating system on pc

1. On your pc go to ; http://winscp.net

2. Scroll down to winscp 4.2.3 Beta and select ;

Download, installation package, run, allow, english, typical installation, commander interface, install, finish

3. This will put an icon on your desktop and open the application

4. Enter the following information ;

Host Name ; Enter your iphone IP address ( to find your device IP address go to ; settings, wifi, network, scroll down till you find it )

Username ; root

Password ; alpine ( password can be changed later in settings )

Save

Type in a name of your choice for your device, ok

5. Now on your iphone / ipod touch, go into Cydia and install ;

OpenSSH

AutomaticSSH

SBSettings

6. Exit Cydia and open sbsettings ( there is no icon for this, to open position two fingers on the status bar and slide them downwards, sbsettings will slide down, now make sure you enable ssh )

7. Now using winscp login to your device by selecting it and entering password again, if prompted select yes to update. You will now have access to all your device files, this is very useful for adding themes and tweaks etc

8. When finished close down winscp and disable ssh ( to save battery life )
